I've just downloaded SP2 for windows and now I can't get xp desktop-can only get classic v

Right click on the desk top

click properties and then go to themes a chose classic and then apply.

If you right click your desktop and select Properties you should have a drop-down list of Themes.

1- Right click on desktop

2- Click Properties (last option on the menu)

3- Theme tab should be already selected by default

4- From the Theme drop down menu , choose your selected Theme , I am guessing you want XP Theme..

5- Click Apply and OK and your are done..

Does it come with a bundle of programs thats not from Microsoft? Obviously your version of SP2 is already tweaked for performance. There's nothing you can do. If you want, try TuneUp Styler. Install, make proper adjustment and uninstall.
