XP HOME-SP2-IE7-Windows firewall_AVG antivirus. Have tried installing without firewall and antivius being active. Full antivirus %26amp; spyware scans (Windows Safety Center,LavaSoft)

If your XP version is not a registered copy or if it is already registered to someone else, the downloads will not install.

Assuming that yours is a legitimate version,just get back into the microsoft update website and click on the 'review your update history'.Those marked as a red cross are the ones not installed.Just click on those not installed and it will tell you the reason why it wasn't installed.And i think you will be able to manually update them.I dont think the problem lies with any spyware or firewall.Good luck.
You need to install the WGA and pass their test that your Windows is legit. If it fails, updates won't install.
