Are all version of windows xp Pro is: Version 2002?

i have that on mines...



it has the version number 2002



when i look at it, it looks liek the year 2002!!



but i dont think its not, thats prob the version number??



and plus there is the build number



"Build 2600"



what does that mean??



i understand i have windows XP Pro (with SP2)

All versions of Windows XP are "Version 2002". Currently Windows XP comes integrated with Service Pack 2. If you have an older version of Windows XP without SP2 integrated, It will crash upon Installation and It won't install on the current generation of motherboards.

If you have a real disc---it it 2002 made.. Vista is 2006, and Windows 2000 was 1999.

Yes. Look on any XP retail box at any Staples, Best Buy, etc. and you will see "Version 2002" on the box. That is "Version 2002" of Windows in general, not just XP. It was originally "Version 2002" and the "Version" number/year/etc. continues to be the same - despite SP2, it is still XP, still same interface, and so on, and same version. The "Build 2600" is something related to programming the operating system.
