Windows XP Service Pack 2 "Access is Denied"...?microsoft windows

Microsoft will forward you a CD copy of Service Pack 2. Then log on as Administrator and install it directly from the CD.

That is the answer from this person in Washington, D.C.

Did you download sp2 from microsoft? If you are installing, make sure your log on id has administrator access. If not, you will get access denied.
Perhaps you aren't logged in as an administrator for your PC?

Or, you have a software firewall running (like Zone Alarm) which is preventing you from installing the service pack? Turn it off temporarily- but disconnect from the net if you have a cable connection and no hardware firewall (i.e., a router).
Your ID must be a member of the computer administrator's group AND you must not have a pirated or illegal copy of Windows XP or SP2.
You prbably do not have enuff memory to download the program. Delete stuff you don't WANT, OR DEFRAG. Only other thing would be to get a jump or (ram) MORE MEMORY ON A CARD Good Luck guy

I knowq people who help when you take out a contract to have a hit on your computer
