Sounds like you are doing a straight download from the net, and it locks up.....must be the net. If you go to the Winxp sp2 download page, there should be a link to order the cd with sp2 on it. going price? Free. Please allow 4 to 6 weeks for delievery.
Trying to download sp2 on window xp home edition,but when it gets at the installing cabnets it freezes.?windows defender
you might not have all the required updats for SP1...this will keep it from loading...or your file for sp2 is corrupted
