Can I use Activesync 4.X onwards on my Windows 2000 ME system without having to switch to XP SP2 ?

Is there a patch to this or alternative to Activesync ?

Can I use Activesync 4.X onwards on my Windows 2000 ME system without having to switch to XP SP2 ?microsoft word 2003

In the window, say like for activesync 2.0 or whatever, toward the bottom, it tells you all the do's and don'ts. You just have to read and see what it will do and not do.
