Your question is a bit unclear... But i'll answer the two ways I see it.

1) You're asking how to make a bootable xp cd.

The current XP cd you have SHOULD be bootable, I have yet to find an XP cd that wasn't bootable unless it's some sort of home brewed copy of a real disk that went bad. If this is the case you can easy use NERO to make the CD image bootable.

2) You're asking how to make a live-cd of windows XP

This is definately interesting... Officially it doesn't exist. However, there is a thing called Windows XP PE (Pre-install edition). This would be a bootable copy of windows XP however it's only distributed to OEMs, so to get your hands on it would be rather difficult.

With that said if you're looking for a live cd, a good choice would be knoppix or ubuntu. Both are free and would allow you to do just about anything you do in windows on it.

Hope this helps...

You can't, legally. Microsoft has made sure to that. If you try, (like I did) it will delete the partitions on your hard drive so that you have no operating systems.
nO YOU CANNOT.
Um - I'm not really following your question here. You can boot from a Windows XP CD just fine - it lets you repair, reformat, and reinstall. What kind of problem are you having?
