Windows 32-bit and 64-bit?

I have a windows xp SP2 pc nad i was just wondering what is the difference between windows 32-bit and 64-bit, and how do i check which version do i have?

There are several difference the primary difference is speed. 64bit is faster however until the software catches up it is just a matter of choice on what you want. Further 32bit cannot address more than 4GB of ram whereas 64bit can address 16TB (way more than most people use today)

That's not intended to be sarcasm, it's just that the 64bit: (1) costs a lot extra, (2) is almost never installed on factory made (OEM) systems, (3) is typically something that a geek would install after buying a stock OEM computer (drivers are sometimes hard to find for many peripherals).

Well one thing that i do know about the 32 bit and the 64 bit systems is that when you have a 32 bit os your os can only hold up to 3 gbs of ram anything higher than that it will not register maybe in bios but won't register with the os... 64 bit os will take up to 7 gbs of ram anything higher than that it won't register .. now i believe that the 32 bit os is not as secure than the 64 bit os..and for the last ? if you don't know which one you have most likely its a 32 bit os..
