It all depends on what you like... I love having a fast browser so i use Safari but when I'm going to download a software or a video i use Internet Explorer 7...It all depends on what you like!!!!

If you don't have an iPod, don't use iTunes. It's bloated and runs slowly on Windows. Secondly, don't use IE7 or SfW, use Firefox:

Microsoft IE 7 works just as crappy or maybe a little better than safari does, I like to use Firefox because its like three times as fast as both of those. For you Media player issues, I suggest having both, windows media player plays almost all types of video and music files, but doesnt work with ipod and is harder to organize and find you music. iTunes is much better for the music playing part, its very easy to use, and you can pretty much do anything with just one click; like creating playlists, syncing ipod, opening the visualizer (forgot to mention, iTunes has a much cooler looking visualizer also), and burning cds or data dvds. Also with iTunes you can back up your entire library to a DVD-(+)R so if you get a new computer, MAC OR PC, you just download iTunes and pop in the disc and all of your music and quicktime movies will be added to your library.
