I have windows xp pro installed and am trying to install SP2 and it will not nomatter where i go it

y is this i just installed a fresh copy of xp pro



I have windows xp pro installed and am trying to install SP2 and it will not nomatter where i go it wont instawindows update



First of all, check your install CD to see if it already is SP2. If it was included on the CD then it's already installed.



Second, try going to www.windowsupdate.com. That is microsofts windows update site. It should tell you to upgrade to SP2 if you don't have it installed.



Third, if nothing else works, is your copy of windows pirated? You will not be allowed to install any updates through the internet without having a legit copy of windows.

have you tried windows update if not make sure this is a legal copy



switch to linux(ubuntu) best idea!
Is it possible your fresh copy of XP Pro might already be an SP2 copy. You can download Belarc Advisor and check everything about your computer including which version of XP Pro you have running
have you tried the microsoft website?
U don't need Belarc to find out ur specs, just right-click the My Computer icon, click Properties, and the General tab says it all.
